Bedbug Briefing
7:00 pm
Fallstaff Middle School
Gist & Fallstaff
Here are some highlights you will learn at the talk: - You and your doctor might not recognize bedbugs tell-tale signs. - 1 pregnant bedbug can multiply to about 32,000 bed bugs in 5 to 6 months! - A one time âexterminatorâ will not solve the problem. - Many typical insect repellents will not kill all of the bedbugs - nerve mutations have strengthened bedbug immunity over the years. - The handout will explain different treatment processes and your options. - The home owner is part of the solution. Bedbugs are invading our homes, shutting down office buildings, and clothing stores. No one is safe from these pests. Because of the bedbugsâ tendency to hitch rides from one location to the next without you knowing about them, high-traffic areas such as hotels, motels, airplanes, and cruise ships are especially susceptible to infestations. Although the discussion of bedbugs is not necessarily the most pleasant discussion we could have, it is a health problem that we need to be informed about so that we can take preventative measures. The City Health Department has had several presentations on the topic for City residents, but none really close to our community. The Fallstaff Improvement Association has coordinated a free presentation to be held on Thursday February 3rd from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fallstaff Middle School.
