Description

On Tuesday, November 9, 2010, between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm, Baltimoreans concerned about Iran's support for terror, suppression of human rights, and pursuit of nuclear weapons will mobilize downtown in the park adjacent to the World Trade Center (401 E. Pratt Street) to demand that shipping companies operating out of the Port of Baltimore cease doing business in Iran. Twenty of the world's largest container liner companies run direct call services to and from Iranian ports, including Evergreen Marine and Mediterranean Shipping, both of which have long-term contracts with the Maryland Port Administration. Maersk, the world's largest shipping concern and a barge customer of the Port of Baltimore, has weekly container shipping service in Iran. Free bus transportation to the rally is available courtesy of the Baltimore Zionist District; reserve your seat by calling BZD at 410-484-4510. The rally is sponsored by and organized by the Baltimore Z ionist District, in conjunction with United Against a Nuclear Iran.
