Trip to the National Archives, Washington, DC Sunday, December 15, 9 AM to 6 PM Iraqi Jewish archives 02Join the Ner Tamid Brotherhood as we visit the new temporary exhibit: Recovered Iraqi Jewish Archives from Saddam Hussein̢۪s Intelligence Services. This exhibit ends Jan. 5 with the trove being sent back to Iraq per prior agreement. Also enjoy the just-opened David M. Rubenstein (Baltimore native) Gallery at the Archives. After a hot gourmet lunch, weather-depending, we will tour the Arlington, VA area taking in the new Pentagon 9/11 Memorial and Air Force Memorial along with other sights before returning home. Rabbi/Chaplain Mitchell Ackerson will be speaking shabat morning, Dec 7 to talk about his experiences in Iraq. Rabbi Motzen will accompany us and an Iraqi expatriate will talk about his experiences on the way down. $65/person Bus departs Ner Tamid parking lot at 9 AM and returns at 6 PM.
