As most of you know by now, our community was recently hit with a spate of hate crimes that has shaken community leaders and residents to the core. In response, Police Commissioner Bealefeld will spearhead a public safety meeting this Wednesday evening, August 25, at 7 pm, at the Police Training Facility, located at Northern Parkway and Park Heights Avenue. Please note that due to increased community interest and the need to accommodate a sizable turnout, the location of the meeting has been changed from its original venue at Tov Pizza. A large turnout will demonstrate to law enforcement and government representatives that all of us in the Upper Park Heights community are deeply concerned about our safety and are taking this situation seriously. We can't expect the police or our elected officials to go to bat for us if we don't demonstrate our seriousness and commitment to partner with them. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND.
