Dr. Bondi, Director of Pulmonary Medicine at New York City's Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, is a direct line descendant of Rav Hirsch. He is a recognized authority on the teachings of Rav Hirsch and the Ashkenazic mesorah. He is the editor of the new English edition of the Hirsch Chumash. He was a member of Baltimore's Congregation Shearith Israel.
