May 1, 2011 Contact: Roz Goldman FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 410-500-5309 rgoldman@chaibaltimore.org CHAI Announces Annual Home Tour House Hunters Encouraged to Take a Closer Look at Northern Park Heights Neighborhood (Baltimore, Maryland) Comprehensive Housing Assistance Inc.(CHAI) invites prospective homebuyers to attend its 13th annual Open House Tour on Monday, May 16 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. The tour will meet at the Park Heights Weinberg Jewish Community Center at 5700 Park Heights Avenue. Participants will visit homes for sale in the Northern Park Heights region of Baltimore City. House-hunters must have their own transportation. In addition to having the opportunity to view a wide array of homes for sale in the neighborhood, participants will also learn about how they can qualify for a $4000 Buying into Baltimore Settlement Expense Award from Baltimore City, as well as other grant and loan programs. Realtors, lenders and other housing professionals will be on hand to answer questions and guide prospective buyers through the home-buying process. CHAI assists homebuyers interested in living in the Northern Park Heights neighborhoods of northwest Baltimore to obtain information on homes for sale, referrals to housing professionals, homebuyer education, pre-purchase counseling and secondary financing for settlement expenses and home renovations. The organization also develops housing, provides home repair and offers social services for neighborhood seniors. Additionally, CHAI secures grants and contributions that enable the organization to support community-building projects that enhance the quality of life in Northern Park Heights.
